Weather: (drizzle) rain until bright sunshine, fog in between; pleasant hiking temperatures in the morning, hot in the afternoons; strong wind in exposed locations

QRV on the Temlberg (2331 m, JN77AQ, SOTA / GMA): QSOs to 145,500 MHz within minutes with Martin, OE5REO; Sylvia, OE5YYN; Peter, OE5AUL; Heinz, OE5HDN; Armin, DF1AI; Joe, OE5JFE; Karl, OE5JKL; Sebastian, DL8MEK; Gilbert, OE2GXL; Ben, DO1BEN, and Mario, OE5MKE - 6 of them S2S.
I am early at the Almtalerhaus - too early: It is still pitch dark outside and it is drizzling.
A quarter of an hour later I at least see the way, and when I arrive after an hour's walk at the valley station of the material cable car to Welser hut, there is first photo light.
Stopover: Welser hut. - The rain has stopped.
Soon it's going uphill.

Welser Hütte: Men from the mountain rescue service descend after a week of training in the rock into the valley. Some have a radio, but the mountain rescue frequencies I could not call anyone (supposedly in the 2 m band).

And then fog comes in ...
