Start and finish: Scharnstein / Tießenbachtal; Parking at the end of the public road. (Originally planned was the ascent of Steinbach am Ziehberg, but because of a "temporary forest restricted area" I had to redeploy.)
Total duration: 6; 15 hours
Trail: very well signposted / marked forest roads and forest roads with short slippery passages (stream bed crossings)
Weather: barely clouds, but slightly clouded visibility and humid heat; windless
Amateur Radio: Yaesu FT1XDE with flexible plug antenna (Diamond SRHF-40); Max. 5 W FM on 2 m and 70 cm
QRV on the Hochsalm (1405 m, JN67XV, SOTA / GMA): Relative long-distance contacts with Armin, DF1AI, near Deggendorf and Roger, DL5RBW, near Landshut. S2S-QSOs with Sylvia, OE5YYN, on the Angerkogel and Dieter, OE5DZL, on the Hochhaide. Further contacts with Walter, OE5WFN, and Rainer, OE5RSO. - Single repeater QSO (via Krippenstein repeater) with Harald, DF2CL.
