New book Abandoned uncovers history of the pro-life movement

by
The pro-life movement has been revolutionized since the advent of ultrasounds and the media, but have you ever thought about what it was like back in the beginning? I never really knew about the history of the pro-life movement until I read the recently published book Abandoned: the untold stories of the abortion wars.
In this book, Dr. Monica Miller tells the story of her involvement in the pro-life movement back in the 70′s and 80′s which all started with a meeting of a bunch of people who were against abortion and made a huge difference. Her story tells of sit-ins, arrests, and the radical activism that happened before laws such as the FACE Act were created. I won’t spoil it for you, but I highly recommend that you add this book to your 2013 list.
Dr. Miller’s activism has lead her to recover and give proper burial to thousands of aborted children over the last 40 years. In the process she has worked with other pro-lifers to take pictures of some of the aborted children which have become many of the most used graphic images we now see of aborted babies.
We owe many of the strides we have made for life to people such as Dr. Miller who devoted their lives to radically combating the evil of abortion soon after it began. Purchase a copy of Abandoned here, and be inspired by this story to fight abortion every day – no matter what it takes – until abortion ends. We are the new generation of pro-lifers, and it is our time to jump into this battle for life with the passion and enthusiasm of those who fought before us.
