One of the few benefits of subscribing to so many left wing magazines is that I get all the progressive and socialist mailers, like this one (above).
An organization called Blue Texas Fund purchased my information* to send their fundraising information to someone who they believe is a likely Democrat voter. Included in the latest envelope was this map, along with a sticker and a one-pager that explained the Democratic Party’s strategy to turn Texas blue.
To put this into perspective, Obama lost Texas by 16 points in 2012. Hillary lost Texas by 9 points in 2016, and Beto lost Texas by 2 points in 2018.
Without carrying Texas in the electoral college, there will not be another Republican president.
Yes, Texas is swiftly on its way to becoming purple and, eventually, reliably blue — just like Democrats are doing to other states across the country.
All this brings up an important point: Don’t overlook state and national political organizations as a source for local intelligence.
Go to local political party meetings. Add your name and email address to learn more from them. Sign up for local political action committees and receive their mailers.
* You can sign up with a private mailbox and your “name.” UPS offers private mailboxes starting from ~ $20/year. Just be sure to add your “name” to the box’s list of recipients.
One thing you can do TODAY is spend 15 minutes and sign up to receive information on local politics. I highly recommended it, especially if you’re one of many millions of Americans whose political landscape is shifting from red to blue.
