Chalet Z’Gogwärgji (known as the dwarf chalet).
Spanning three floors, is the original old name for the property, located in the heart of Zermatt’s old village where houses date back to the 18th century.
The property is available for ski holidays with The Luxury Chalet Company.
Once an old sheep barn, the property has been lovingly converted while preserving its original features. Today, it stands as a unique individual Walliser chalet, tailored to accommodate up to 4 people comfortably.
This distinctive dwelling spans three floors and is entirely dedicated to holidays goers, offering an experience unlike that of a typical chalet apartment in Zermatt.
Retaining much of its 18th-century weather-worn facade and adorned with Larchwood sourced from local forests, as well as Piemont granite, the chalet emanates a delightful blend of historical charm and cozy luxury.
Nestled in the heart of the quaint old village
known as “Hinterdorf,” alongside the tranquil river, it enjoys proximity to various amenities and mountain departure stations.
Step inside to discover the result of careful reconstruction across its three floors, culminating in a delightful open lounge/dining room on the top level, tastefully designed in luxurious chalet style.
Here, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen and a Flat-screen TV. Both double bedrooms, located on the lower floor and ground floor boast ensuite facilities complete with showers and separate toilets.
Connecting these distinct floors is a winding wooden staircase, adding a touch of rustic elegance to the interior.
Descend to the lower ground floor, where relaxation awaits in the form of a tiny soothing sauna, perfect for unwinding after a day of mountain exploration.
Additionally, a laundry room equipped with a washing machine and dryer ensures your practical needs are well taken care of. Guests of the chalet are also welcome to indulge in the wellness facilities at a nearby hotel.
The property has to be Zermatts smallest holiday chalet but still maintains a luxurious feel.
