No Wonder Macy's is Going Out of Business - LRC Blog: I have no credit card debt and no car payment and my credit score is in the 800s.  I got a letter from Macy’s telling me that my old Macy’s credit card that I haven’t used in years will have its interest rate increased from 22% to 30%.  This is Macy’s response to Amazon.
