Honorable James R. Browning Symposium on the Montana Constitution

With Montana voters deciding this November whether to convene another constitutional convention, the Montana Law Review dedicates this year’s Hon. James R. Browning Symposium to an examination of the Montana Constitution. The Symposium, featuring highly regarded national, regional, and local speakers, will address many of the prominent provisions of Montana’s 1972 Constitution and assess our state’s Constitution in light of contemporary constitutional issues. Among other matters, the Symposium will consider the impact of technological developments on the right to privacy, the interpretation and application of the right to a clean and healthful environment, and the efficacy of the elected judiciary model.
