Russell “Osceola” (Osi) Little was a founding member of the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA), a domestic terrorist group of the 1970s.

Little grew up in Pensacola, Florida and became a Maoist while attending classes at the University of Florida - Gainesville in 1968. In 1972 he moved into the Peking House, a Maoist collective in Berkeley, California, where he met William Wolfe, who would soon become his fellow SLA member. Little also became involved with the Black Convicts Association, an education program for convicts at the California Medical Facility at Vacaville, a psychiatric prison. There he met Joseph Remiro and Nancy Ling Perry, and ultimately joined the SLA.

In 1973 Little was arrested for the murder of Oakland (California) Schools Superintendent Marcus Foster. He was found guilty in 1975 and was sentenced to life in prison.
