The BEARS
group recognizes a need for Bitterroot-wide two-way comms outside our repeater
network. To that end we are working our own gear towards NVIS (Near Vertical
Incidence Skywave) as a contingency.
Wednesday at
1700hrs (5:00pm) we will try our hand at communicating locally on 3.850
MHz.
We should
have our 2-meters on 146.720 as an alternate route to aid tuning, training and
Elmering for folks working to get their NVIS setups working.
Nets tonight
include:
BEARS
NVIS: 1700hrs on 3.850 MHz
Montana
Traffic Net: nominally 1730hrs on 3.910 MHz *
BARC
10-meter: 1915hrs on 28.350 MHz
(mostly vertical antennas)
BARC
2-meter: 2015hrs on 146.720 MHz
* (80-meter
band conditions deteriorate in the evening,
thus Montana
Traffic Net is starting a bit earlier nowadays)
